Today I met a man at the restaurant I work for from Kentucky that, while patiently waiting for a table, took the time to chat. Not only did I learn about the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, a tour of 7 distilleries in Kentucky which sounds like a glorified (and glorious) bar crawl, he offered some advice regarding my plans for the future. I would like to remember these (and the bourbon trail).
"Go for it. While you’re young. I’m not saying what you’re doing is a mistake, but don’t be afraid if it is. Now’s the time to make as many mistakes as you can. (to which of course I replied "I can think of a few people that would say I’ve already made plenty…") If there’s anything you truly don’t want to be saying when you grow up, it’s "I wish I would have…" I mean it."
